Acorn Fostering
Acorn Fostering is an independent fostering agency, providing foster placements in the Midlands and Northern Counties. There is an urgent need for foster carers in the UK today, so Acorn asked us to overhaul their existing website in 2012 to assist them in attracting more carers.
The old website was poorly designed and arranged and not search optimised correctly. We designed and created a sleek, modern, pixel perfect, easy to navigate, professional, informative, search engine optimised future-proof website with tasteful calls to action. We built it using the state-of-the-art WordPress content management system, which provides substantial flexibility and functionality, customisation and easy addition of fresh content.
We added valuable new features and functionality - a job vacancy and application management system, a private forum, a dynamic calculator, a blog facility, anti-hacker security, a photo slider and a caching service for faster load.
We coded using the latest standards and also using 'responsive design' for easier viewing on smart phones and tablets. We modernised their logo, re-organised and properly search optimised their text and sourced complementary photography.
